About Dr. Eklund

After attending the University of Nebraska, Dr. Eklund graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1979 and has been providing care for small animals in the Boise area since that time. She was an associate veterinarian at Mountain View Animal Clinic for 8 years. In 1987 she and her husband Marty Telford founded Pets First Animal Clinic in Boise.  They operated Pets First as a labor of love for nearly  two decades.  She is currently taking  appointments at Meridian Veterinary Hospital 

Dr. Eklund endeavors to be that vital link between the pet and owner in order to provide superior veterinary care for small animals. 

Her areas of special interest are dermatology and internal medicine (medical diagnosis and treatment of disease).

She lives in the Eagle, Idaho area with her husband Marty, Roody and Bunji the cattle dog's, Vivian and Gunner the cat's, King the horse and Paco the donkey.
